Site Access Codes

June 9th, 2017

In accordance with the decision taken at the AGM we will be changing the Code on the access gates to the site as from 1 July 2017.
We have posted the New Codes on Facebook but are unable to do likewise on the Notice Board or Website as these are open to all.
Plot Holders not on Facebook should make themselves aware of the New Codes by asking their adjacent plot holder neighbours well before the 1 July.

Watering of Site Experiment

Committee member Alec McDonald has tested a small generator, submersible pump and hose to supply water from the main tanks to a number of potholder’s water tanks and plots. This proved very successful and it is proposed that we offer this facility to any member interested at a charge of £5 annum to cover the cost of petrol. This facility will only be provided at times of extended good weather and at the beginning of the year prior to planting when the main tanks are being filled. A number of potholders have already paid their £5 and anyone else interested should let the Committee know.

DeWalden & Thomson & Morgan Donations

May 15th, 2017

Grateful thanks to DeWaldens for a donation of seeds and other growing items including 5 bags of compost and for arranging a donation from Thomson and Morgan for seeds to the value of £60 – a combined total of nearly £100.
These will be used on visits to the site by various children’s groups over the coming year and at Barassie Primary Empty Classroom Day and Summer Fayre. We will also donate some seeds and bags of compost to Symington Nursery and Community Learning and Development who have recently acquired a plot on the site.

Annual General Meeting : 19 May 2016

The TROON ALLOTMENT SOCIETY AGM will be held on the 19th MAY at 7.30 pm In IVY COTTAGE South Beach Troon. KA10 6EF.
There will be the Chairmans report then the Treasurers report.
At this meeting the Committee stands down and a new Committee is selected. This is an opportunity for all plot holders to take part in the decision making and running of TAS.
